Tiscali Netherlands introduces TISCALI.TV

Utrecht, 29th November 2005 - Tiscali Netherlands starts a test with tiscali.tv, television over the internet. During the test, 500 Tiscali subscribers will be able to watch television on their PC through a closed network. Subscribers with an ADSL connection of at least 2 Mb will receive an email inviting them to take part in the test. The first 500 subscribers to sign up will gain access to a special site through which they can watch television on their computer.

Tiscali.tv is easy to use and offers a special tiscali.tv guide with a line up of all the available TV channels. During the test tiscali.tv will broadcast approximately 20 TV channels. During the test period, which will end mid-2006, subscribers will be asked to evaluate tiscali.tv to see if the service meets their specific wishes and demands. After the test the service will be developed further and a decision will be made about when tiscali.tv will be introduced in the rest of the Netherlands.

As the European full service provider, Tiscali continues to develop a wide range of broadband services that are easy and simple to use. The introduction of tiscali.tv fits seamlessly into Tiscali's strategy to offer internet users a full range of entertainment services - such as video on demand, music, games, telephony and the new carefree web service tiscali.plus. The Netherlands is the first Tiscali country to introduce the service.
