London, 18th October 2006 - Tiscali UK announces its official sponsorship of the 2006 The Times BFI 50th London Film Festival, the UKs most prestigious movie industry event from 18 October to 2 November 2006.
Tiscali will be bringing the UKs largest film festival, available to everyone online through the Tiscali web site ( www.tiscali.co.uk/lff). As part of a dedicated section, members of the public will be able to share the festival around the country and view trailers of all of the top films being screened over the two weeks including both the opening and closing night gala films, The Last King of Scotland and Babel.
As well as this, film lovers will have access to exclusive red carpet action, special festival events and the latest interviews with the stars appearing at the festival including Brad Pitt and Jude Law.
The film festival, organised by the BFI, is this year celebrating its 50th anniversary and will showcase the best of UK and world cinema to the public in a number of venues around central London.
Tiscali is also the exclusive partner of a very special event to be held in Trafalgar Square, A Portrait of London, artistically directed by Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas, One Night Stand and Timecode).
On 28 October, the Tiscali Gala will host a screening of Fast Food Nation at the Odeon West End in Leicester Square.
