Sale of the South African cellular business

Cagliari, 19th October 2004 - Tiscali announces to have reached an agreement with Vodacom Service Provider Company Pty Ltd for the disposal of its South African cellular business, which follows the announcement of the agreed sale of its South African subsidiary for EUR 40 million last August.

The transaction is subject to the approval of the South African competition authority.The price indicated for the purchase is ZAR 42 million (EUR 5.3 million) to be paid in cash upon closing.
