After graduating in Economics in Turin in 1981, Manilo Marocco began his career in investment banking as an analyst at the London office of Salomon Brothers in 1982. As part of his career at Salomon Brothers, he was responsible for investment banking activities for Italy and, subsequently, Managing Director of Capital Market in the Southern Europe area.
After leaving Salomon Brothers in 2002, he set up SWC, an investment vehicle to seize investment opportunities in the DACH and Southern Europe regions, acting as a consultant for the US company CVC. In 2006 Manilo Marocco and his partner were invited to join Stirling Square Capital Partners, establishing their own Special Opportunities investment fund. Morocco left Stirling Square Capital Partners in 2016.
From 2007 to 2010 he was also an Independent Director of Fastweb S.p.A. and he currently holds the position of Managing Director of SocialFareSeed.
